Well, to say This review is a bit late is to say the sun is bright. Sorry about that. What really is bad about it, is that these guys ROCK! A great time to be had with a bunch of fun guys with serious talent. When you ask for a song to be played, by Rush, and the band says “sure….no problem.” you know you have a group that can play.
Having played in the local area for near 20 years, they have gotten a name as a great cover band. Just about all of my favorite 80’s club rock bands and songs were played at one time or another in the night.
While on a break, I got a chance to talk with the band and ask a few questions.
Me: “hey guys! Mind if I ask a few questions?”
Everyone: “sure! love to.”
Me: OK. easy one here, “how long have you been together?”
James: “It started with me and Dave;In …’87, Paul ’02, Slutter in ’12, so call it 20-21”
Me: So I wont keep you guys long, but What is the #1 bit of advice you would have for young up and comers in the music biz?
(Here everyone said the same thing.)
“When you’re playing clubs, its about them and not you. You play the music the people want to hear and dance to, not what you want to play. Sometimes that means playing songs you might not like as well as others, but they are asked for or we KNOW that the crowd will love it and have fun. Really that’s one of the biggest pieces of advice we could give.”
Me: Great to know. Well I’ll let you guys go back to having fun!
Now this interview was longer that that, but I cut it down a bit for a quick read.
